When on patrol, there is a tactical maneuver known as a Tight 360. A squad forms a circle, with weapons pointed out to protect their center. Today, I visited with Stacy and Mike, co-owners of Tight 360 Tool & Machine. Stacy is a former Army Ranger, and today they run a manufacturing facility in Jonesburg.

They put disabled veterans at the center of their Tight 360–seeking out Missourians who were wounded or disabled in battle, and giving them the training they need to find a quality job. They’re building apprenticeships around the skills learned in service, and giving a new opportunity to people who have sacrificed to keep us safe.

We talked about what we can do to grow more quality jobs in Missouri, and how we can be the best state in the country for veterans. We even did some training to get hands-on experience. It was a strong reminder that often the best thing government can do is let small businesses and working families lead the way. Tight 360 is doing great work supporting our veterans, and I was honored to meet them today.

April 6, 2018

Today, Governor Eric Greitens announced that four business expansion projects across the state plan to generate $3,465,000 in capital investment and create 101 new jobs for Missouri families.

“We are delivering on our promise to bring more jobs and higher pay to the people of Missouri. Today, we’ve got good news: four more companies are investing in Missouri, for a total capital investment of $3,465,000. That’s 101 new quality jobs for families in our state. Missouri is open for business. We’re growing. We’re competing again. And we’re winning jobs,” said Governor Greitens.

Mac Rak, a manufacturer and distributer of warehouse rack repair and protective guarding solutions, is expanding in Moberly, Missouri with plans to create at least 30 new jobs. The company has a diverse client base, including household names such as Home Depot, Walmart, Kraft Foods and Staples. Primary occupations will be in manufacturing with competitive wages.

Missouri Terrazzo Company, a flooring contractor that specializes in the installation of terrazzo, resinous flooring and wall systems and dyed, polished and stained concrete, is expanding in St. Louis, Missouri with plans to create 10 highly skilled jobs over the next two years. One company project includes the newly remodeled Gateway Arch National Park, which will be unveiled this summer, featuring an iconic 4,200-foot terrazzo map of the United States.

Tight 360 Tool & Machine, LLC, a machine shop that also handles water jet, welding, fabrication and more, is expanding in Jonesburg, Missouri with plans to create 14 new jobs. The company works to make a difference in the lives of disabled veterans by providing them with five apprenticeship choices in the manufacturing industry.

United Excel Corporation, a performance-driven general contractor, is expanding in Kansas City, Missouri with plans to create 47 new jobs. The company focuses on highly complex healthcare projects across the country and the Kansas City region as well as higher education, office and medical office buildings as well and science and technology projects.
